Hey, Benjamin! Let's Go Fishing!

It was my sweet little grandson, Benjamin's birthday last week.
He turned 4 years old.
He is so precious.  My heart just EXPLODES when I think about him!!

He LOVES fishing, so I thought I would just crochet him a fishing pond with fish!

The fish have a metal washer crocheted in their mouth. Here is the pattern.
There was not a pattern for the "pond".  So, I just started a circle and kept going until it was big enough.
Then, I made a draw string. Found a stick (Ben calls it a "fish stick") and crocheted a pretty strong magnet onto the end.
It seems that baby sister loved the fish.  She thought that was the best part!

And, of course Ben figured out that the magnet would pick up his other toys... so, they went into the pond, also!!

Happy Birthday to the Lovely Sierra!

Sierra is 11 years old today!!
Happy Birthday Sierra!!!
I had so much fun making these, and finding "just the right" flower to make this pennant just perfect!

Then I thought it would be fun the curl it around into a little "puzzle"
I used the lower case alphabet and banner from Moogly!

What's Hap-pinning Wednesday!

Linking up with Jessi and Jenn

It's been a few weeks since I've shared my pins on my blog......

Don't pin too many recipes - because I always forget to go back and look at them.
But, this one looked like it had some fun ideas!
Babies, babies, babies.
It's just WAY too fun to crochet for babies!

Ok, these 2 hats made me laugh and laugh.... I want to make them...
I don't exactly know WHEN I would wear them....
Christmas is coming... it comes EVERY year....
and I always find lots of GREAT things to create over the holidays!

And, now, I must end with some doxie pins....

Pink & Grey Elephant

I decided since I had leftover yarn from the afghan I made for my niece's baby shower, I would make up a little elephant "cuddly"'
I fell in love with one that I saw in Pinterest
But, when I clicked on it - it was just available for purchase.
So, I thought.....
I'm an experienced crocheter - I can do this on my own.
So, I made a little granny square with a nice edging.... then....

I found an elephant pattern and just made the head and front legs......

Pink & Grey Afghan

Well, I finally finished it!!
My niece is having her first baby - and we had a shower for her last week.
Her colors were pink and grey
I thought it turned out very nicely
I made my own labels.  I was so excited.
I found out how to print right on to fabric.
I looked up a video on YouTube.
This was part of a month long Crochet-A-Long

What's Hap-pinning Wednesday!

Oh How I Love Autumn
I love to decorate for Fall
Autumn Subway Art
"Turkey" Cake

These look like fun!!!
I am getting really excited about buntings/pennants lately.
I don't know if I'll have time to make one before Thanksgiving (with all my other crochet projects in progress!!)

Acorn Pennant
Indian Corn Pennant
Pumpkin Pie Pennant

Aren't these 2 just the cutest???  Do you like the pink one? or the white one? I think my little Indiana would be soooo cute in one of these!!
But, it's hard to think about a sweater in this 90-100 degree weather we are having!
They are so cute!
I love them!!
I'm always looking for something new!!

And, of course to end with some cute doxie pins!

You, too, could follow my doxielover board!!

How To Wrangle Hot Coffee!

The church I attend is branching off and starting a new church. About 20 of us are leaving.  It is a nice diverse group of people.  Differing ages, ethnicity and backgrounds.  It is very exciting.
We have been meeting regularly, and we have coffee and snacks at our Bible Studies.  But.... we do NOT have coffee sleeves for our "HOT" coffee cups.
I know, I know... I could have gone and bought a package of cardboard coffee sleeves... but, what good would that do?  How could I show off my mad crochet skills?  So, I took some time from my other works-in-progress, and whipped this little puppies out:
I am pretty proud of the end product.
I made 6 total!  I used buttons from my button stash - which ALWAYS makes me feel good!

So, Thursday night.... watch out Bridge Community Church!!!  We are going to get "Cozy"!!
