Remodeling Woes!!

I am home today – trapped with my "crazy doxies" and a construction worker.

We are getting our bathroom remodeled – VERY EXPENSIVE – but, worth it. Don't think we could sell the house without getting it done. We don't have plans on reselling in the near future – but, I don't think we are going to retire here!!

So, anyway… I hate being STUCK home. Don't mind being home when it is MY choice – but, I have the most flexible schedule – so that left ME to be home.

Trying to stay focused on the things that need to get done… but, would much rather just lay down and watch a movie!!

Oh well….

2 VERY different cards

One of my FAVORITE bloggers: Jennifer McGuire has a 7-day challenge going with a fellow blogger. Each day they will share a card they both made with the same stamp. I could not believe how different both of these cards are..... but in I absolutely LOVE both of them!!

But, I think this is going to be good. Tonight went well. Tomorrow, I am going to be teaching 2 different Bible stories, 4 times each. It should be fun!! it will be a long day - but I hope a rewarding day!!
Tonight we had Robin Garvin come with her special friends.... what a special lady!! I loved every minute of it. And our AMAZING children's pastor pulled off a wonderful night for children!!! Thanks Pastor Becca!!

Hopefully more tomorrow... if I'm not COMPLETELY wiped out!!

zipper flower

Here is my first day at fulfilling my commitment... so here goes:
I was "surfing" around and saw a ZIPPER FLOWER. I like it - but, I thought, "Hey, I can make those just as easy as anyone else!!" So I googled and found lots of these - but, wasn't sure I liked to pointiness of them. So, I kept searching and found this tutorial. I think I REALLY liked it. I know that my mother has LOTS of zippers. So, I think I will have to ask her.
Now the question that I KNOW my daughter would ask me. "So, what are you going to do with them after you make them?"
I just have not created in SO long!!! I really do need to do something!!
Hope I can post a picture soon....

Oh yeah.... I saw this zipper bracelet... way different... but kind of quirky!!

Commitment to Post

You know what my pet peeve about blogs is?? Not posting regularly!!! I have wanted to get better about my blog.... I am embarrassed to tell people I have a blog because I don't keep up on it. But... I am going to post something everyday on this blog... a picture... a verse..... a card..... a doxie.... something.....
And if I don't make a posting, I will at least update my blog in someway..... then maybe it will be something I can be proud of!!!!
THAT IS MY COMMITMENT!!!

doxie on a stick

It's a sad day in the world of Dachshunds in Popular Culture. Our hearts go out to the friends and family of Al Ross, the founder of Doggie Diner, a chain of 30 restaurants with iconic Dachshund heads in the San Francisco Bay Area. The restaurants started in 1948 and were hugely popular, making Mr. Ross a fortune. Union hassles and the pressure of competing with McDonald's prompted him to sell the Doggie Diner chain in 1979. Several of the Dachshund heads have been restored, even making traveling trips across the country and showing up at Dachshund festivals. The last Doggie Diner head (on a pole) makes its home in the Outer Sunset district of San Francisco. It has been declared a city landmark!

Find out more about the Doggie Diner Heads at OutsideLands.org.
