Easter For My Neices and AG

I saw these cute Easter accessories for an American Girl... and I know 2 special young ladies that each have an several American Girls.

These little bunny ears were too precious.... (maybe I should make some for myself!!)

I made one basket for each of them, and a bunny ears headband

They were fun to create!

The entire pattern had a sweet little Easter dress to go with the accessories.  But, I am just pleased with myself that I got these 4 items made and sent in time for Easter morning!!!

Doxie Easter Egg Hunt

I went to a "doxie meet up" today with my 2 precious doxies.

(they are the 2 in the front for the "doggie jail" :(

There were so many dachshunds there - probably close to 50 - by the end of the day!

I saw every kind of dachshund known to man.... there were dapples, and long hairs, black, red, and even 2 chocolate doxies.  (it is a special day when you see chocolate doxies!)

 My pups begged and begged to get out

 This one was the most unusual of the day! He was 1/2 Labrador and 1/2 dachshund.  

He was about 48 pounds - and just one big lover!

Then on to the Egg Hunt!!

 They had strewn eggs around the grass with dog treats in them

 These are my dogs with my mother's 2 dachshunds.

It was a WONDERFUL, FUN, day!

Angel Eggs??

I saw this and thought "this is exactly what I need to do for my Easter Eggs!!"

Aren't they precious??? The crosses are made from carrots....

And, better than that... they were bacon, jalapeno deviled  angel eggs!!! YUM!!!

Hell??? No!!!

Our Easter service was a little different this morning than the usual Easter service.
Our pastor used these verses: Revelation 1:17-18:

When I saw him, I fell at his feet as though dead. Then he placed his right hand on me and said: “Do not be afraid. I am the First and the Last. I am the Living One; I was dead, and now look, I am alive for ever and ever! And I hold the keys of death and Hades.

The title of the sermon was: KEYS

He passed out a key to everyone, and had them put it on their key ring. (it was a super cute key, too!!)

Then he had a prop

 Reminding us that Jesus has the keys to death and to hell....
But, on the other side.....     We can choose heaven... it's our choice

 

It was a great service....

HE IS RISEN!

Easter Chicks!!!

Happy Easter!!

Easter is tomorrow!! Going to spend all morning in church, and then off to my brother's home to eat a BEAUTIFUL Easter dinner with family.  I know that it will be a fun day!!

When I was first married and became a "Hare" (my last name!) - I would make my mother a homemade Easter decoration every year, and tell her it was from the "Easter Hare".  It was fun... but... life happened, and 4 children later... homeschooling for 22 years later.... I didn't have time... I wanted to do it every year... but, just did not make it a priority.....

Well, this year she guilted me into it!! I made some Easter decorations:

 I gave two to my mother, and kept 2 for myself. 

 My goal was to make a whole dozen... or at least 1/2 dozen.... but, things happened... and then I didn't!!

You Are One Of My Favorite Peeps!!

It's no secret to the people in my life, that I LOVE PEEPS at Easter!!
