30 Day Crochet Challenge - Day Fourteen & Fifteen

Day Fourteen & Fifteen - Blue/Purple
Blueberries
This is the latest installment of food.
I have had these done for a day - but, just could not get them into the "photo studio" for a shoot!!
hahahahaha!!
These are much more blue in person - but they photographed more purple.
So, I am going to use them for both the blue and the purple day!
(my life, right now, is a little chaotic.  I'm hoping it will settle down for the weekend)

I'm still in the challenge....
Keep watching!!

Yum! An Egg!!

This was so easy to make -
and Benjamin knew what it was as soon as he saw it
(which is always a good thing when your food is made out of yarn!)

Although, at one point it thought it might be a nice hat!!
 For his sister, too!

30 Day Crochet Challenge - Day Thirteen

Day Thirteen - Green

Guess What I Made.......

Food!!!
My sweet little grandson LOVES pears!
(Pattern here)
(the picture isn't great - but, it is green!)
At the end of last Christmas season, I started this stocking.
I just wasn't motivated to finish it up!
But, I am committed to finish it - and display it this Christmas!

30 Day Crochet Challenge - Day Eleven & Twelve

Day Eleven
Do I have a shop?
No
(Would I like to some day? Yes)

Day Twelve
Favorite Yarn Shop
I like to get my yarn at WalMart
When I can't find it there,
I turn to
Michaels
or
JoAnn's
If I can't find it at either of those places
I change projects!

30 Day Crochet Challenge- Day Ten

Day Ten - Yellow
I have to be honest...
not really a fan of yellow.
Don't wear it a lot
Don't crochet with it a lot.
I made a banana:
And, I also used it in my WIP afghan:

30 Day Crochet Challenge - Day Nine

Day Nine - Least Favorite Yarn

This bad boy:
I beleive this is the WORST yarn known to man!!

I made a scarf with it:
I said bad words to it the whole time I was making it -
It is so "furry" that it catches on the hook with the previous row......
Then, for some reason - too much time had passed, and I bought ANOTHER skein...
What was I thinking?????
I didn't even finish the project... it took me about 2 rows to remember my hatred!!

BTW - I love the scarf... it's so soft and cuddly!!

30 Day Crochet Challenge - Day Eight

Day Eight - Favorite Yarn

I really don't have a favorite brand of yarn.
I have a "least" favorite brand - but that is for tomorrow.

Then, I was thinking color.... I love the darker colors - browns, burgundys, tans,

I was trying to think of something that I made in browns that I have never blogged about:

I made this couch arm cover without a pattern.  I saw the idea on the internet - and then just started crocheting, until it fit well, and looked good.

(I have since changed couches, and don't use them.... (sad face)

30 Day Crochet Challenge - Day Five and Six

Day Five - Favorite Size Hook
This one was hard to think of.
But, I guess when I just go out on my own (which is rare)
I grab an H crochet hook
I have a tendency to crochet very tightly.
So, sometimes I have to use a larger hook in order to make the gauge accurate.

This is not actually a picture of MY H hook.
Who knows where one of my "20" H hooks are.
They are attached to some of my many unfinished projects.
If I can't find what I need.... I go and buy another one.
That would be interesting one day to collect all my hooks, and see how many I have.
What fun.... (not!)

Day Six - Least Favorite Hook

To be honest - I can't say that I have a least favorite hook.
I have use a Q hook to crochet rag rugs....
And, I loved it

I have done thread crochet and created MANY doilies.
And, I have enjoyed it.
So, to answer today's challenge:
I LOVE TO CROCHET!!

30 Day Crochet Challenge - Day Four

Day Four - Red
I couldn't think of anything that I could lay my hands on quickly that  I had crocheted.
So......
I made an apple
Who knows if Benjamin will like it!!!
(I know Indiana will LOVE it!)

Pizza! Yum!!

Mimi was at it again!!
More food to make - this time some pizza!
When I'm around, Benjamin will have NOTHING to do with the food that I make!!
So, I let my sweet Indiana have the spot light

But, when my back is turned, and I leave..... He is all about Mimi's Cuisine!!

Had to add this "pizza picture"

Too Cute!

30 Day Crochet Challenge: Day Three

Day Three: Current WIP

The list is long:

This is a picture of my afghan from the Stitchcation that I went on this summer....
I was supposed to work on it during July and August.
I was hoping that I could finish it. But, alas.....
Good News!!
I finished my last square this afternoon.

And, my Basket Weave Container is about 1/2 done from the September Crochet Challenge:
(it's done with 2 strands of yarn, and it makes me weary!)

My great-neice is turning 4 this month, I'm in the process of making her a
"Frozen" hat (I'm still looking for the "perfect" snowflake buttons.)

My nieces are  turning 8 and 10 in the next few weeks, and LOVE American Girls.
I have started a sleeping bag for the first niece.
This is the pillow - the bag will just take a few days (hopefully!)

There are so many others.....
I'm just too embarrassed to show you the pics.
In fact... I don't even want to think about them....
These are just the ones that I am actively working on!!

I'm also going to link up at USS.Crafty

My Friday Finds

This is really taking crocheted food, to a whole 'nother level!!!
These were all from the same website.  Too Cute!
She is really thinking outside the box.... that is something that I really admire!!

Cuteness!!
As it is predicted that we will hit triple digits for this weekend here in Southern California - I thought this might cool me down....

30 Day Crochet Challenge: Day Two

Day Two: Last Completed Project
I had to think long and hard about this one.... I have SO many partially finished projects..... I am working on quite a few simultaneously.
Anyway, This would be my last completed Project:

This Market Bag pattern is from the June Crochet Challenge over at The Crochet Crowd.
Of Course, I did not finish it by the end of June - but I was determined to get it done.  And I did!!!

I don't know how practical it will be to "go to market" with it - but, right now I am using it to carry around one my projects that I am working on - so, it is coming in handy!!!

I started thinking: I have been crocheting a lot - why is this the last project I have finished - I forgot -
I have been crocheting food for my grandchildren

Each of these only took me an evening to make.  They were fun!
